Ivan Hammerschlag - Non-Executive Director and Chairman
Ivan has 35 years of business and finance experience including as a retail specialist. Founder and Chairman of ASX listed RCG Corporation Limited (now called Accent Group Limited) which is a regional leader in the retail and distribution of performance and lifestyle footwear, with 430 stores across 10 different retail banners with exclusive distribution rights for 10 international brands across Australia and New Zealand. During the period of Ivan’s tenure the market cap went from $12m to $800m. Previously Ivan was the CEO and a shareholder of Freedom Furniture, prior to its listing on the ASX. He also co-owned Divergent Technologies, a retail software company which grew through several acquisitions before finally listing on the NASDAQ. Ivan also has experience in private equity as Executive Chairman, in investee companies, with RMB Capital Partners. Ivan is also a founding shareholder and director in Centennial Property Group, a property syndicator based in Sydney that invests across Australia.
Randolph van der Burgh - Director
A founding shareholder in Happy Valley Nutrition Ltd, VCFO Group, Rockburgh Fund Services and a former partner at Ernst & Young New Zealand and Australia, Randolph is both an investor in a range of businesses and an international tax, corporate finance and strategy adviser to a range of clients in the New Zealand private equity, venture capital, funds management, real estate, agriculture and dairy sectors. He has several years’ experience building an IMF brand from the ground up with operations in New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong and China. He has a strong network of contacts in this industry in New Zealand and a deep understanding of the opportunities that exist outside New Zealand as well as an understanding of the limitations the industry as a whole faces such as supply and pricing. Randolph is Director and Shareholder, acting CFO and responsible for HVN's New Zealand supply chain. He is based in Auckland, New Zealand.
David McCann - Director
David is a founding shareholder in Happy Valley Nutrition Ltd and brings over 25 years’ experience in developing, managing and operating businesses both operationally and from a private equity, venture capital perspective. He has served on both public and private company Boards and has been involved in food and FMCG distribution businesses in the United States, Australia and Asia. He has several years’ experience building an IMF brand from the ground up in New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong and China. David has an extensive network of contacts globally. David is a Director and Shareholder responsible for investor relations and global sales and distribution. David is based in Hong Kong.
Greg Wood - General Manager
Greg joined Happy Valley Nutrition Ltd in early June 2019 from Beca where he was a Principal and Senior Project Director responsible for its New Zealand and Australia dairy business. Greg has deep project experience having led several dairy asset construction projects, including segregated milk and infant formula plants, across NZ and Australia, and involved with projects globally. Greg has had various operational roles in the dairy and technology sectors, leading small and large teams. Greg will build HVN’s C-suite capability and will be responsible for managing all external stakeholders to enable HVM to execute its strategy. Greg is based in Auckland, New Zealand.
Grant Horan - Project Manager
Grant is a founding shareholder in Happy Valley Nutrition Ltd and is passionate to grow the nutritional dairy business in this region. Grant is an accomplished Executive with domestic and international experience in operations, P&L oversight, multi-channel product distribution, experienced in start-up and growth organisation and acquisitions. Grant has travelled significantly around the Asia / Pacific Region and has been a key contributor for both corporate and smaller business in the Dairy, Food and Beverage sectors.
Zach Mounsey - Corporate Development Manager
Born and raised in the heart of Ōtorohanga Zach has significant experience in agri-business strategy management, finance, economics and leadership. Zach’s role is to commercially establish HVN within the Otorohanga, Waitomo and Waipa dairy farm services community. Zach has specific responsibility for selecting and managing HVM’s farmer suppliers, overseeing farm management policies and practices, and ensuring HVN quality standards are adhered to. Zach also partly owns and 50:50 sharemilks a dairy farm in Ōtorohanga and holds leadership and representative appointments with a number of other entities throughout the primary sector.
Allen van der Poel - Farmer Liaison Officer
Allen is a dairy farmer and Happy Valley Nutrition Ltd’s largest shareholder with significant interests in dairying in Ōtorohanga with predominantly A2 herds. Allen is the company’s farmer liaison officer who, working with our milk sourcing team, is tasked with building and maintaining relationships with our farmer partners in the catchment area, including receiving input from farmers on the terms of HVN’s milk supply agreements.
The Advisory Board is comprised of independent advisors with global market and/or product experience in nutritional science and formulaic product design; management of primary and secondary dairy manufacturing sites; physical supply chain process and quality and value chains; regulatory controls and compliance; process control and enterprise data management; business models, performance management and commercial governance.
